Flannel Menswear Opening Night

Spirits were high when we gathered last Thursday night for the official opening of our very first FLANNEL menswear store on Napoleon St, Cottesloe.  

GIRLS SIT TIGHT AND LET THE BOYS ENJOY THE RIDE....

We have opened the doors to our very first dedicated menswear store, located at 33 Napoleon Street, Cottesloe. The alpha male adventurist will experience a retail environment that embodies the sought-after Flannel lifestyle. Effortlessly cool laid back pieces, influenced by the Australian indoor-outdoor way of life, an organic vintage feel. FLANNEL will provide you with 'that shirt', unique and simple, low maintenance, wearable, like a 1950's Aston Martin, only improving with age. A consummate label full of covetable everyday pieces! PALIHOUSE - our home for the next two weeks!

I love finding new boutique hotels…. We have just arrived in LA looking for our next Flannel store location and are staying at the deluxe yet homely newly presented Palihouse in Santa Monica. 

We have stayed a few times at the West Hollywood location and were excited to find that owner, Avi, has now opened close to our store on Abbot Kinney Blvd Venice and within walking distance to Third Street Promenade, Farmer's Market and the Santa Monica Pier. 

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a New York vintage vibe. I just love his little personal hits. That little black flannel with 'makeup' written on it – so clever. The crisp white towels and beautiful white bed linen make it feel so fresh against the Vintage wallpaper and his eclectic mix of lush velvet furniture. Oh and the Dean and Deluca snacks that had to be hidden. Yum! It's not air-conditioned (which I love) with the floor to ceiling windows letting that Californian sea air in. I slept so well last night after our long flight in. If you're planning a trip to LA come visit this little gem. X

Bonjour Paris!

This week I'm sharing with you my brother Paul and his gorgeous wife Caths holiday pics. They are spending a couple of months taking their time, with Luna and Archer my niece and nephew, soaking up all there is to offer in France. Laughing, eating, sleeping and drinking. So so beautiful and so inspiring x
